Happy *almost* Halloween!

Not gonna lie, I literally did Lilly's makeup just for this layout. Or as the kids are saying these days, "I did it for the 'gram." Needless to say, we had a blast. It took about an hour to get her whole face done, including gluing down sequins with eyelash adhesive. We ran outside for a bit to snap some photos. When we got back inside she immediately asked if she could take off her makeup. Ha!

I whipped up this layout using the new Pumpkin Song Collection from Sahin Designs. I will definitely be getting used a lot this month! Check out the collection below. And remember, if you sign up for Elif's newsletter, you get the bundle 50% off this weekend only. It's a deal, people.

Happy Crafting!

While my reading may have slowed down considerably in the past two months, my love for books hasn't diminished at all.

Books. are. life.

When I saw the Bookmark collection from Sahin Designs, I knew I had to create something documenting my obsession with reading.

I threw this digital traveler's notebook spread together very quickly in Photoshop one night and I just love how all of the colors came together.

You can find this collection over at The Lilypad for 50% off today only! The have the whole bundle up for grabs, or if you just wants to purchase one part of the collection, you can do that too!

Happy scrapping :)

Another year old project that I'm finally completing! How awesome is this new kit from Sahin Designs?! The Fernweh Traveler's Notebook set includes papers and templates available in the standard 4.25 x 8.25 size, the Cahier 5 x 8 size, a 3 x 8, A6 4 x 6, Personal 3.75 x 6, Passport 3.5 x 5 and a micro 3 x 4 size. So there's definitely something for everyone.

I had so much fun playing around with all of the papers and elements. These pages came together very easily.

If you're in the NE region and looking for a good campground, check out Dry River Campground. It's located in the Crawford Notch State Park in Bartlett, NH. There's 36 spots to choose from. The place is beautifully put together and is super clean and well taken care of. We went before peak season started and the ranger stopped by each day we were there and asked if we needed anything or had any questions.

I'm glad we packed extra blankets because it got down into the 40's each night. Thank goodness for wool socks and -20 degree mummy bags!

I collected some small pine cones, some Birch bark that I found on the ground and an small old railroad spike. I plan on making a small shadow box with those and a few photos.

Fun story: Rick was in charge of the beans & dogs the first day and BURNED the beans to the bottom of the pan. So for the next few days everything we cooked tasted like charred beans. Lunch, breakfast, dinner. My tea water. Fun times.

So much fun.

I used the Explore paper to document a bit about the trip. Just popped it open in Photoshop, added some text and sent it to print. Easy peasy.

All of the colors worked perfectly for my TN. I plan on using it to document all of my camping trips.

Don't forget to take photos of the small details! I snagged a pic of the welcome board at the campsite that had a whole bunch of helpful information. Ours even included a daily print out of the weather conditions on top of Mt. Washington.

Full page photos for the win!

You can find the whole kit here and here.

Is it Fall yet?

Farmer's markets, apple picking, baking, crisp mornings. I long for Fall. It is my most favorite season.

The new Cranberry Collection from Sahin Designs works perfect for documenting the start of the season!

We took a trip down to Simmon's Organic Farm in Middletown one Saturday afternoon and had so much fun. We were able to hold the baby goats (or in Lilly's case, a rooster.) And they had all of their veggies, meats and cheeses available to purchase. I love that little farm.

You find find the whole line of Cranberry designs below!

(Also, not sure why all of my photos have a blue tint to them. Grrr.)

Heck yeah, mini golf!

We had completely forgotten that there was a mini golf (and bumper boats) place less than 15 minutes from the house. In our defense, we're never over in that area. So we thought it would be the perfect things to get the kids out of the house and to have a little fun.

When I got home I quickly AirDropped my photos over to my laptop and created this quick pokcet page layout with the (aptly named) Family Day Collection from Sahin Designs.

I kept it simple with just one wooden heart embellishment. The tags were all done digitally!

We had such a blast we didn't even pay attention to who won. Pretty sure it was me, obvs. :)

After we finished mini golf, we cooled off with some Slushies and some bumper boat action. The kids got soaked! All in all, a super fun time.

I've been meaning to incorporate some photos of my Nana & Grampa into a layout forever. (Actaully, I want to do a whole album.) My Grampa was stationed in Bermuda with the Air Force and my Nana who was originally from England was working over there. They met and the rest was history. They had been married for 50 years before my Grampa passed away in 2000. I chose Sahin Designs' Special Day Colleciton because of the soft muted colors. I thought it would work well with the sepia and black and white photos that I had on hand.

I'm so happy with how this turned out. I used a mixture of digital + traditional scrapbooking. The background paper, lined paper, stamps and some of the tags are all printed on one sheet. The photographs, leaves and love tag were printed then cut down and glued on.

I added a few embellishments of wood and enamel dots to complete it. Can't wait to showcase some more old photographs!

If you're ever short on time (or out of photo paper and waiting for Amazon to show up) I highly suggest you take the leap and give digital scrapbooking a try. We took the kids to the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament this past weekend and the Circus Collection from Sahin Designs was perfect for documenting the day. I love all of the bright contrasting colors and patterns.

It's available in the SOSN (Something Old Something New) section over at The Lilypad for 50% off today!

Also, never settle for the cheap photo paper at Walmart! Lesson learned :)
