Happy *almost* Halloween!
Not gonna lie, I literally did Lilly's makeup just for this layout. Or as the kids are saying these days, "I did it for the 'gram." Needless to say, we had a blast. It took about an hour to get her whole face done, including gluing down sequins with eyelash adhesive. We ran outside for a bit to snap some photos. When we got back inside she immediately asked if she could take off her makeup. Ha!
I whipped up this layout using the new Pumpkin Song Collection from Sahin Designs. I will definitely be getting used a lot this month! Check out the collection below. And remember, if you sign up for Elif's newsletter, you get the bundle 50% off this weekend only. It's a deal, people.
Happy Crafting!
It's that time again! A new Day Zero list has been created.
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1,001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks but be specific (i.e., no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e., represent some amount of work on my part.)
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 days (about 2.75 years) is a better time period than a year because it allows you several seasons to complete tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

The new Everyday Explorers Co. Nine to Five stamp set (I believe) was made just for me. Hello, working from home! In my jammies! These stamps are perfect for documenting the daily grind and works well for those of you who commute to work, and those of you who work from home.
I had so much fun with these stamps and decided to do a 6 x 8 spread with one side documenting my commute into Boston, and the other side documenting my work from home.
Also, peep the pigeon. They're my new co-workers and hang out regularly on my window ledge. And occasionally peck at my window when I'm trying to work.
Ah, yes. The morning commute. Gotta love South Station at 0800!
While my reading may have slowed down considerably in the past two months, my love for books hasn't diminished at all.
Books. are. life.
When I saw the Bookmark collection from Sahin Designs, I knew I had to create something documenting my obsession with reading.
I threw this digital traveler's notebook spread together very quickly in Photoshop one night and I just love how all of the colors came together.
You can find this collection over at The Lilypad for 50% off today only! The have the whole bundle up for grabs, or if you just wants to purchase one part of the collection, you can do that too!
Head over and scoop them up!

How awesome is this new Passport: NYC stamp set from Everyday Explorers Co.?!?
This one is a little closer to home and is PERFECT for my upcoming trip. (And just in time, too!)
I broke out my older stash of Kelly Purkey pocket cards to use because I love the bold colors. And NYC is all about being bold. I also printed out a few things I plan on doing while in town. Luisa Omielan, Katz's (duh), walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, maybe catching a show and taking a trip to MoMA.
I love how the stamps fit perfectly into the grid on the card!
Check out the new Passport: NYC stamps here.

Another year old project that I'm finally completing! How awesome is this new kit from Sahin Designs?! The Fernweh Traveler's Notebook set includes papers and templates available in the standard 4.25 x 8.25 size, the Cahier 5 x 8 size, a 3 x 8, A6 4 x 6, Personal 3.75 x 6, Passport 3.5 x 5 and a micro 3 x 4 size. So there's definitely something for everyone.
It also includes 46 labels and embellishments, twelve 2 x 2 square designs, 4 PSD templates in 7 sizes, 26 png stamps and PSD brush files and more.
I had so much fun playing around with all of the papers and elements. These pages came together very easily.
If you're in the NE region and looking for a good campground, check out Dry River Campground. It's located in the Crawford Notch State Park in Bartlett, NH. There's 36 spots to choose from. The place is beautifully put together and is super clean and well taken care of. We went before peak season started and the ranger stopped by each day we were there and asked if we needed anything or had any questions.
I'm glad we packed extra blankets because it got down into the 40's each night. Thank goodness for wool socks and -20 degree mummy bags!
I collected some small pine cones, some Birch bark that I found on the ground and an small old railroad spike. I plan on making a small shadow box with those and a few photos.
Fun story: Rick was in charge of the beans & dogs the first day and BURNED the beans to the bottom of the pan. So for the next few days everything we cooked tasted like charred beans. Lunch, breakfast, dinner. My tea water. Fun times.
So much fun.
I used the Explore paper to document a bit about the trip. Just popped it open in Photoshop, added some text and sent it to print. Easy peasy.
All of the colors worked perfectly for my TN. I plan on using it to document all of my camping trips.
Don't forget to take photos of the small details! I snagged a pic of the welcome board at the campsite that had a whole bunch of helpful information. Ours even included a daily print out of the weather conditions on top of Mt. Washington.
Full page photos for the win!
